Bio
Karri Kuoppala (b. 1976, Helsinki) is a visual artist currently living in Glarus, Switzerland. Kuoppala studied Visual Communication in the Surrey Institute of Art & design in Great Britain, Bildende Kunst in Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Switzerland and received his MFA in Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts in the Department of Painting in 2008.
Kuoppala works mainly with painting, installation and video.
He has exhibited in Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (2004, 2006, 2008), Helsinki City Art Museum's Kluuvi Gallery (2008), Helsinki, European Economic and Social Comittee, Brussels (2007), Living Art Museum, Reykjavik (2007), the 10th Istanbul Biennale (2007) and with Mobile Art Production (2009) in Stockholm.
